do you candle bobwhite quail eggs the same as chicken eggs?

Sure do! Bobwhites are easy to candle, being white and all. Coturnix eggs, now there's a challenge!

ETA: I have a few bobwhite eggs in the bator, and I wasn't able to see anything in them until at least day 7, so you should probably wait a while before trying

Yep... bobwhites are easy. The coturnix now, that's another ball of wax. I wait until just before moving them to the hatcher or stop turning them... if you use a penlight with black fabric over the end with a hole cut out to concentrate the beam, you can shine a light on the top of the eggs, and the clears will be obvious. But you kind of have to wait 2 weeks to be sure.
