I got a shipment of a dozen australorp eggs this morning, placed them pointy end down in an egg carton and let them sit all day to settle. I planned on putting them in the incubator along with my local eggs tomorrow morning, but when I candled the shipped eggs tonight I noticed that the air cells weren't 'stuck' in one place like my local eggs. They didn't float through the whole egg, they stayed in the rounded end, but they did move a little as I rotated the egg.
I should keep them pointy end down through the night as they were all day rather than tilting up the egg carton to rotate as I've been doing with my local eggs, right? And (most importantly), will it be okay to put them in the incubator in the morning as planned even if the air cells are a little 'wobbly' or will they need to sit and settle for another day first?
