New member - ordered my chicks!

Thank you all for the advice and suggestions! I had chickens years ago and the baby chick bug bit me very very hard! I only ordered the minimum 15 chicks and I’m afraid to go into tractor supply. If they have chicks…
I have an incubator in the barn and found myself mentally crossing a few breeds- they don’t even Hatch until the 11th and then they ship to me. I don’t dare tell hubby my thoughts!

Lol we went into TSC this past Saturday and our neighbor was in there too. She's got probably 60 birds. Immediately she told me they had Production Reds for $1 a chick, pullets. My husband was like no, no, no. We've got 4 and 6 more coming.
Let me extend our coop and run first. I'm very lucky that he's so supportive, because I have big plans, lol.

Yes it seems everyone is out of pullets and have a surplus of roo’s or straight run. I was lucky to get the ones I did and am really looking forward to getting them! My grandson used to help gather the eggs with me- now he is off to college. Time really goes by in a hurry!

Oh! So happy for you! Hubby is being a good support system as is mine the last time I hatched some eggs I used both incubators and had a 100% hatch rate! I never dreamed they would All hatch! 50 chicks later hubby just looked at meit’s a good thing I live on a farm, you know, just in case…

Haha wow!! That is amazing! I bet those kept you very busy! I just have the 4 and they keep me on my toes. You must be so excited, getting ready to welcome chicks again.

Hi! I hope you have good luck with your pup! I've always introduced them slowly and never unsupervised around baby chicks and I think we have just gotten lucky with our dogs being good around poultry.

Yes I am very excited to say the least! I’m retired and so is hubby. His hobby are our angus beef cattle. Mine has always been chickens. I can’t wait to get them!!!!!
