candling question

it is lightweight enough to set on top of the eggs. I just didn’t know if it was okay to do that, but I’ll test it out and see and report back if the temperature reading changes at all.
I keep two thermometers on top of my eggs, one in the middle of my eggs and one underneath them at all times. :D

I placed the thermometer on top of the eggs and it’s slowly rising. It’s at 97 degrees now but still going up. I’ll be satisfied once (or if) it reaches 99.5 degrees. I’ll keep checking back.

Okay yay I placed the thermometer on top of the eggs as suggested and the temperature is reading at 100 degrees now. Going to keep an eye on it in case it goes past 102 but I doubt it. So I’m happy the thermometer does work.

You really should get a thermometer you can calibrate.
If that thermometer is reading a few degrees too low it can be bad.

I definitely will. My husband is getting one first thing in the morning. Thank you!!
