Candling Very Dark Eggs

I use the flashlight and hand to candle my eggs but it does not seem to work on the dark brown eggs. I use an LED flashlight. What do I use to candle dark shelled eggs? Thanks!!

I use a maglite in the total dark at night. Some eggs are just too dark to see through, blue and green ones are hard too.

I go into a dark closet and use an LED Lenser that I bought at Home Depot. Pricey at $50 it worked on my maran eggs.

Try a paper towel roll cut in half with the flashlight inside it. When you put the egg up to the roll the light will be centered on the egg. I have used this on blue eggs, and dk Maran eggs. Hope it works out for you too.

I use a high power flashlight in a dark room, cup my hand around the egg etc. I can always see whats going on with the lighter eggs but the dark ones are kind of hit and miss.

I use and LED flashlight but It's not a small one so I made a cone out of black construction paper and electrical tape and then I go into the bathroom with no windows in total darkness ...but all I see are the air sacs
