We have a young silkie rooster. He will be 1 in May. I cracked an egg a few weeks ago this was obviously fertilized. It has veins throughout the yolk. I decided that it might be fun to try and incubate and hatch our own eggs.
We are on day 9...I don't think a single one of my 9 eggs is actually fertilized, but again, I have no idea what exactly I am looking for. All of my eggs look like the one in the picture.
I am assuming that none are actually fertilized. My kids are really excited to hatch some eggs, and I have someone I can get for sure fertilized eggs from, but I would feel so bad if it turned out these are actually viable and I tossed them.
Help!
