I candled my eggs today at day 4. One has a moving red dot with barely visible vens. Two look similar but without visible red dot or veins. The two have large yolks, compared to a new egg on day two/three. The yolk takes up half of the egg, and has grown since day one. Does this mean development? I set them on Monday afternoon, today is late Friday here, so should there be more? I have a really bad candler, and could hardly see the possibly living one. The eggs are white and quite porous. The first two pics are what three eggs look like at four/five. The last two are a two/three day old egg. Does anyone see development here?

This is why I wait to candle at day 7. If you had a bright flashlight, you'd be able to see more. Anyway, I can't see anything in those pictures. I'd wait until day 7 and try again. At that point there should be an obvious change. If there isn't, then the eggs aren't any good. Candling to check for a porous shell before you set is a good idea too. They don't hatch very well and are more susceptible to bacteria entering them. Give them some more time and check them again.

Easier said than done, I know! Good luck, happy hatching :)
