Does any one have pics of their candled duck eggs? Like what the good ones look like or what the bad ones look like?

I just came in from candling my 15 or so duck eggs and got quite a few different results.

I have tried to take pictures of my duck eggs - but they never come out very good -

what day are your eggs on ? I have some in the bator now - not sure what day they are I found them in the duck house baried under some shavings and when I candled them they already had veins so I popped them in the bator -- I just hatched 3 ducklings about 2 weeks ago lol

It should be very dark.

What kind of ducks? some incubate 28 - 32 days and muscovies take 35.

28 - 32 days. But, make sure you are counting Day 1 on the day she actually began sitting, not the day she laid the first egg.

She has been setting since the second egg at least, thats when I became aware that she had eggs. The first egg was laid on the 2nd.

28 is not a magic number it can take longer for some eggs. I suggest leaving her alone and don't bother her again. She will be clutching tight to her eggs from here on out. Stressing her may cause her toleave the eggs.

That wont be a problem, since i am leaving at 3 am, Ill just let my mom know
