Joy and Twix are still in egg and I am waiting on them. I will not help until the veins are gone.

Star burst through a yolk sack over night while trying to hatch, I pulled her out of the incubator to inspect. She piped the back side of her egg and she was trying to breath with all the yolk coming down. I up righted her, but this am she was gone.

Poor baby!! That is so sad

So sorry that Star did not make it. Was she a NN? Congrats on a lavender though - wow that is awesome!!!!

@GreenJay I used to not like them either, now I can’t get enough. They grow on you!! I think they are cutest when they have a fluffy head - not a huge fan of the NN without crests that look like their hair is slicked back… but give me a poofy head, and I love them to death

Me neither. I haven't liked them either, NNs i think have been the last breed i have ever wanted they are pretty silly looking tho i am ok with them especially with the poofy cute head i have never had one before.

Last 2 Joy and Twix are still with us, They are peeping and ready to come out of their shells, the veins were small enough to help, I pulled back the outer white casing. No blood, I removed some of the shell so they can get out more easy, I like the chicks to kick off the bottom part of the shell on their own, it gives them strength.
