She curled around him and laid her head above his, trying to block out the lightning. She snuggled down to sleep.

he went to sleep happy to have someone with himl, he had grown lonely lately

Tala awoke to a strange noise…she sniffed the air, she knew this scent. She left the den to investigate…it was a small deer. She crept up on it and the chase began, she finally took it down, but now she couldn't find the den, the rain had washed away all scent.

Coal squirmed feeling her heat leave "Tala? TALA!" he screamed

Tala was frantic “why did I leave she thought?” she thought. She dashed through the sparse brush trying to catch a scent. “COAL? COAL?” she howled.

Coal could see faint tracks that were disappearing quickly, he screamed "TALA! TALA!" he followed the faint tracks until he was lost

She cold, wet and crying. Then she heard a faint voice over the boom of the thunder. “COAL! COAL! Where are you?”

Lilly heard some one yelling "COAL COAL" she was angry, as if the thunder wasnt loud enough, she climbed out and heard some one yelling "TALA TALA" in the other direction, she swiveled her ears and heard "COAL COAL" again, she yelled to who she thought was tala "HEY YOU!!"

Tala heard a familiar voices, she raced toward it dogding throught the brush. It was the little fox who had fixed her shoulder. “hi, do you remember me?”

"HEY YOU!" Lily yells "IF YOUR LOOKING FOR COAL HES THAT WAY!"she swivels her ears towards the direction she heard him yelling "tala"
