Cankers, Fowl Pox, or ???

I wonder if this is something like IB?
A respiratory disease?

It is a bacterial illness. IB is a virus. The vet hinted that it may have something to do with other farm animals. Fowl cholera is a bacterial disease that can affect other animals, and can be spread by rats. No need to get ahead of ourselves—we should wait for the vet’s report on the bacterial cultures.

I am almost sure it is Tricomoniasis, this yellowish-white nodules in the oral cavity are a sign to it. Flagyl is an options , you should treat all your flock with acidify Cupper sulfat 0.5 gram/liter of drinking water. IMHO they will be cherries for ever.... I think that your flock got it from wild dove or pigeons that are one of the most common transmitters of Trichomonas gallinae via drinking water to chickens.

@Akrnaf2 (Hi Benny) the OP said that her necropsy vet feels that it is a bacteria in the preliminary report. There were gram positive rods in the spleen and liver on gram stain. Apparently there are cultures pending. She has been treating for various problems.

I had guessed pasteurella which is a gram negative rod, so that was wrong.

I will be sure to post the final results! It could take a week if not more if we decide to run more tests. I’m determined to know exactly what this is.
Run the test...the 30 cost is going to be worth knowing what exactly is the cause/peace of mind.
:hugs
