cannibalism?

I have one in solitude right now for just that reason--the others pecked her raw and positively would not leave her alone. They had a big hole pecked into her, the poor girl. I'm hoping once she's healed and her feathers grow back, she'll be able to move back in with them and they won't remember what she tasted like.

does anybody have any experience with this item from eggcartons.com?

HotPick300.jpg

description from the web site says:

A topical herbal anti-pick spray for cannibalism in poultry; formulated with all natural ingredients to help reduce feather plucking and cannibalism in birds. It contains bitter herbs and spices in a natural base. HOT-PICK comes with a finger spray applicator and should be applied as needed. 4 oz. bottle.

thanks!

I've never heard good or bad about that. When chickens peck to the blood, the hens won't stop. They are attracted to the red I believe, that's why there are red contact lenses or it's kept dark in production houses.
