Canning and Home preserving

My well water is so hard I expect stalactites if it drips... I want a whole house filter. but for now I will have my Berkey for drinking and cooking.

We use well water as well. We have a berkey but she needs replacement filters. The dealer we had locally is gone though. That means buying online which we hate to do unless necessary. The canner was necessary. The water though is drinkable as is

I will admit our city water is not bad but we have ice water on the fridge can really tell with the filter what a difference
I got used to city water after some time but when I went back to well water I felt like something was wrong until I drank well water exclusively and then hated city water. I can really tell the difference now

Well water here. Have a filter in the well house, and a water softener. I like the water but it's what you get used to. The minerals here are different from what we had in NW (edited from NE, typo) NM. That was very alkali. What we have here is rusty tasting, not sulphury. Arizona city water never seemed to quench my thirst when we visited relatives, I don't know why. Not enough minerals, maybe.
