Canning corn.... gotta question!

    Do I fill the canning jar full of corn then add the boiling water? I canned corn using a hot pack method, and I had to add 1 cup of boiling water, but Its only half full of corn! Did I goof?

    I have helped can corn before using a canner on the stove. The only thing we wish we had done better was to NOT pack the jars full of corn because it makes it too dry and it doesn't look as good in the jar.

    my jars only have about 3/4 to 1/2 full of corn. It sealed, but if I shake it theres bubbles. (I'm new to canning) Everything is sealed. I just hope its ok...
