Canning for myself & my Ducks

This summer, I have been canning from the garden for winter. So, I've been putting up extra for my ducks.
Corn, beets & sweet potatoes, so far.
Anyone else do this?

I'm a bit too paranoid about salt content to share canned goods with my ducks. All my recipes call for a lot of salt. Otherwise it sounds super fun!

I think ducks would like canned peas best. Maybe canned corn.

Great idea but just make sure to watch the salt, salt is bad for ducks and chickens.

personally i would never feed my ducks canned food because of salt. for fruits and veggies i always give them fresh or frozen only

That's what works with a canner. You add salt to the jar, the ones for the ducks are marked with a D, and no salt.

That's funny. No, I love my Ducks. I also have some frozen foods for them, too.
Watermelon, blue berries, & strawberries.

I read it even worse I thought it said “canning myself for my ducks”

I am interested in canning but have never done it

Unless pickling or canning a recipe, using salt is for flavor and may be left out. I rarely used salt in my canning. My ducks are picky though, so I don't think they would appreciate the effort.
