I've been making and canning chicken broth the past few days. I've done three batches of 7 and of the 21 total, 3 of the jars have either busted in the canner shortly after putting them in or during processing. I am heating my jars in the oven at 200 degrees before filling with hot broth and then putting them in a hot canner.

Any ideas on the problem?
 
Could be the rims are on too tight, not allowing for expansion~

Instead of heating them in the oven, boil them in a large pot of water, and put the liquid in rught after you pull them from the boiling water. It might have something to do with the glass jars being tempered in the oven dryness of the glass.
