Hi, I have a rooster that was given to me by a client....he showed up in her yard and no one claimed him so, I took him home. I thought he was an Ameraucana but am not sure if he is because I think he has a single comb and not a pea comb. I have 5 hens that he takes care of and one of my hens went broody so I put 3 eggs under her to hatch! Two of them hatched the other was a dud. The chicks are yellow with darker spots on its wings and dark brown/black with lighter brown spots on it! I was so excited to see them:) Can an

anyone give me any ideas? Thanks so much:) Amy

Im still learning on the breeds so i am no help at all but wanted to say he is stunning!

looks like a mix that has a straight comb but the comb has either ben cut or fell off from frost bite

He clearly is a one of a kind rooster and certainly deserves his very own breed description. I would call him a Mahogany Estonian Sliver Head!

I don't think his comb has had any type of cutting or frostbite....it looks pretty ok:) thanks for the info....

Mixed breed cockeral. He looks like he'll make nice babies--good layers or meat birds.

So far his babies are real pretty...but so hard to tell til they get a bit older:) He is a sweet rooster, very gentle and kind! Thanks for the reply.
