Can't find grower feed!

20 weeks or until they start laying whichever comes last--some hens don't start at 20 weeks so you should keep everyone on grower until they are all laying. Just put out some oyster shell as free choice for those laying. Once they are all laying good feed has calcium so they will probably stop eating the shell.

I'm not sure which feed store you go to but the Urban Farm Store on Belmont carries several great foods, including the Cascade Grower mentioned above by Magill Ranch (and Payback as well). Concentrates on SE 8th carries Payback. My friend shops at Naomi's on Tacoma in Sellwood but I don't know what they carry.

ETA: There is also Pistill's Nursery on N. Mississippi Avenue and Livingscape on N. Vancouver Avenue that carry chickens and probably food.

Grower is tough to find in many locations.
But you can continue to use Starter (18%) mixed with whole Oats.
2 or 3 parts Starter, and 1 part Oats.
We've done this for many years, works great.

Good luck,
spot
