I bought an HHD 12 egg incubator and I can't seem to get the humidity down any suggestions. I have 12 eggs in there now this is day 5. I just received today a digital thermometer hygrometer that I put in and its at 72% humity and temp fluctuates between 99.5 to 100. I have had 1 channel out of 5 filled up per recommendation in user manuel. Per some of the post I went ahead and took the water out of the channel but am worried the humidity has been to high.

Are you marking your air pockets? That will give you a good idea if you're on track. If you have vents you can open that should help, but I'm not experienced enough with incubators to have and better advice than that.

This is my first time using an incubator I usually let my hens do all the work but this year none of them want to be broody so I'm not sure what you mean by air pockets.

Oh! That's easy to check. If you have a bright flashlight, most phone flashlights are pretty good, you can shine it through the egg and see a bit of what's going on inside, depending on how dark the shell is. At the large end of the egg, you'll see that there's a bright empty part. At day 5 it should be big enough to see easily though not taking up a lot of the egg yet.

Here's one of my day 5 silkie eggs.

They may not be fertile. But, we can’t see the whole egg (all sides). Wait until day 10 to see if clear or not. Is temp inside incubator confirmed with another thermometer? Is the incubator at proper temp?

Try flipping them over. The air cell will be in the fat end.

All is not lost yet.
Get all of the water out of the incubator and dry it out.

Run the eggs in there dry and see what the humidity reads. There is still time to allow evaporation to happen.

If you dont see a dark spot or veining at day 10, then they are no good.

Yes I just bought a thermometer hygrometer and got it today it fluctuates 99.5 to 100 and shows humidity right now 71% i did take water out. When we eat the eggs I check and they all have had bullseye on them so I just checked all eggs and the all look like the first 2
