I know that i do NOT let my teens train my dogs... never. No waaay
You really have to KNOW what you are doing when you are "training" a dog... or the dog can get REALLY messed up... and have issues all its life.
So..unless Rawr REALLY knows dog training stuff..she should NOT be training any dog..
Thats the adults job.
Just my opinion...

ETA..: Now..if she is allowed to take the dog to a dog training class...with supervision..then i think that that would be a great idea!

This is more or less what I had in mind, although having her working one-on-one with a dog trainer would be even more specifically what I was thinking. Or the whole family working with the dog trainer...

My dog has several "Kong" type toys that are just for when we leave and he is in his room. I agree that dogs (especially ones with destructive tendencies) should be crated or put in a dog proof room when no one can supervise them. We do not crate our bichon because she lived 24/7 in a crate before we got her, but we did make a room for them. Jack (my chewer) is happy to go to his room when we leave because he knows he gets one of his special toys.

I hope "Rawr" can work things out with the owner of the dog so that less things get destroyed. I SO understand the feeling that you can't have anything nice when you have naughty dogs, cats and children
