so the 2 babies are now BIG and bad , one girl and one boy, they need butchered soon, they are 7months old and i was wondering, what should i do ? and when do they begin to lay and what conditions do they need?

Your hen is old enough to lay, but will probably wait until warmer weather if you're in a colder climate. Turkeys can thrive in any conditions, as long as it's not nasty & they have clean water. A turk can go without shelter from the weather, but I DON"T recommend it.

Turkeys will usually find a sheltered place on the ground. But of course, nothing usual about mine. I have one that goes between two layers of tarps on top of the hoop house and lays up there.
