I found this Kirby vacuum cleaner on Craigslist for free, not far from the house. The lady said it wouldn't power up. Now ~ I'm one of those that if it won't work, I HAVE to break it down to find out why. In the third picture, that piece is suppose to be one solid bar that runs through the inside of the motor and attaches to each side of the outside, connecting the wires that run the on/off switch. I'm taking it tomorrow to see if I can get a new part and hopefully
it will run.
Does anyone else do this. I've broken down radios, lawnmowers, weekeaters, chainsaws, just about anything that quits running ~ I have to know why.
My husband response ~
Throw it away and buy a new one.
