Can't wait to fry one of my turkeys this year...BUT...

...I got a turkey fryer, but the propane gas hose does not attach to my gas bottle...my bottle is a female brass lefthand thread fitting.
The turker cooker hose end looks like a male fitting with a larger plastic ring to tighten it down with...but my bottle fitting has no external threads for it to attach onto.
Do I need an adaptor, or something?

Yep..an adapter or a converter part.
Dont ask me what they are called. lol.. No clue.. see if HD or ace or wherever you got the fryer from has the adapters.

Oh..BTW.. does your turkey know that you are working on his bath?

A few years ago the switched the threads on portable propane bottoles, the new ones have a safer valve. the most recent one we got has the internal and external threads.

The new bottles have an internal and external thread, so it might work. of not they sale adapter for old style valvues and new bottles.
