Can't wait to start hatching soon! Anyone else with 10/14 hatch day?

I can't take pictures until I get batteries for my camera! I am at two NJ's now. They seem to be hatching quickly when they decide to.

Man that one orpington is all over the place - knocking the cr&p out of the others - hoping they will still hatch out since she's so active!

Silkies should be hatching. Lockdown was yesterday here is a link to a live cam of them hatching when they do. http://tinyurl.com/6l76fkx check it out cause ya never know when they hatch.with the live cam you will see what I see.

how do you guys figure out which chick is which after they hatch? do you make boxes to keep the chick by the egg it hatched from or what???
I have so many kinds I'll never figure it out if I wake up to a half dozen chicks!

Yes it takes pictures on the site & anyone can view them.But what I'll do it make a video tape of them put it on cd.Just go to archive and you can view pictures that it has taken.

That is a home made incubator & it works perfect.

Two tiny seramas have hatched! They are already best friends and stagger around together peeping!
Hopefully they will encourage they other two!

Well I'm going to head to bed and hope some more chicks hatch tomorrow. The one chick that hatched is all over that incubator and has kicked all the other eggs around. The other one that pipped hasn't moved in awhile so I'm not sure it will make it. One of the Silkies looks like has a pip but it's in the back and hard to see. I wish these incubators had inside lights LOL!

Hopefully I'll wake up to a bunch more chicks

I only have two kinds of eggs in my bator this time - Silkies and Orpingtons and I am thinking I'll tell them apart by the size. Otherwise - I have no idea how to keep chicks separate.

Congratz to everyone who has chicks so far! I have a Silkie-X and a Sebright, and a pip in one Marans egg! More hatching tomorrow, and dry chickies so I can get some pix!
