(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
The chickens were bought in March when the whole pandemic really kicked off
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 4 currently, down from 6. 2 guineafowl tried killing one of my roosters and I didn't like the noise so we gave them away to a happy home.
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 female black australorp. 1 male buff orpington.
1 male fizzle bantam I think. Lastly 1 female tiny bantam that flys.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The personalities they display and learning about them. Also there's something very satisfyingknowingwe helped produce these eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Trade work from A to Z always trying to learn.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We also have a dog named Lucy, cat named Zoro and a horse named Mavrick. I currently am working as a Facility Manager.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Just to talk to other people and maybe find out the last two types of chickens I have. The tractor supply I bought them from had all the bantams together.
