We do and I called a little after 9 this morning....the receptionist who took my msg was a little snarky with me, but said a Dr. would call....we shall see. Just have to feed Lucky and my little man then we will venture out to see what we can find. I already called the feed mill where we get our cow feed out of curiosity and they don't sell meds at all. So my only real option is Fleet Farm and they sell a bunch of meds for cows, horses and pigs so I'm hoping I find something that was mentioned here that will work for him

I'm just checking back in on you and Lucky. It looks like the swelling went down a bit. I remember when I've been injured, the swelling did not really set in for a couple of days after the accident, so the swelling may not mean there is an infection. Of course the vet will have the best recommendation. It is possible that aspirin could help a little with the swelling, or at least the pain associated with the swelling.

Pen G is supposed to be helpful for soft tissue injuries. We used it when our hen was attacked by a hawk, but since Lucky does not have an open wound, I don't really know if it is appropriate. Pen G is the a med that needs to refrigerated I think.
