SORRY it took so long to get back! lol And as it turns out, my two yr old is innocent...I found my camera in the pocket of the robe I don't normally wear, soooooo I'm guilty
lol
Here's the link to Lucky's latest video...
He's quite eager to get out of his cage any time I open the door, I just don't think he's ready yet...I don't know? He's got til next week with the splint (6 weeks is what I read is the minimum for a bone to heal), though he his kind of walking on that leg...That must mean it's not hurting him like it was!
His beak is still a little short on top, but it's growing nicely too...I just can't even believe that I managed to save this poor little roo...the condition he was in, wow. Just wow... Another thing, and I'll have to try to get some pictures tomorrow, but it almost looks as though he's got some feathers coming in all down the sides of his legs...I'm pretty sure he was on the tail end a molt when I found him because he had new feathers growing right away, but with the feathers coming in on his legs, I wonder if he's not mixed with some other breed than just Game...huh. His legs still don't look much different, but they certainly look better without all of the crazy bruising he had...I'll start slathering him up again once I have the splint off and see if that helps with the dry looking scales...though I do still wonder if that's not just an indication of his age and the hard life he's had
Thanks again everyone for your support of Lucky!...and I'm still working on that T-shirt/coffee mug idea
LOL
