"Bloody he**!" Linden cursed, loud enough for many of the bandits around to hear. He reached for the small knife on his belt, the only weapon he carried on hand, but soon realized that it would not help. His only chance was to grab something from the wagons before the bandits got to it. Being so large and heavy on his feet he wasn't the most mobile, but he managed to force his way to the back of the wagon and grab an ax before the bandits reached them. Now armed, he let out a furious shout and charged at them, brandishing the ax like his life depended on it... as it did.

At the sudden commotion the horse charged forwards in fright, dragging Mavis right off his feet as his hand had become caught in the harness. He let out a shout of pain and threw up his other hand to try and pull himself up, the first attempt was unsuccessful and nearly ended him up with a hoof in the head, but the second time he managed to grab onto something and haul himself onto the galloping horses back. Holding on for dear life he cast a glance behind them, only to see Linden disappear into a crowd of bandits. He wanted to help, but didn't know what to do, or how to control the terrified horse.

An arrow flew past Terrick, slicing through his right ear, but he barely felt it as a surge of adrenaline kicked in. He dropped his axe in favor of the sword that hung at his hip, drawing it with well practiced speed. Linden wasn't far away, so Terrick tried to align himself so that they could protect each others backs. A bandit lunged in from his side with a rusty blade, but his swing was so wild that Terrick was able to parry it with relative ease, following up with a counter attack that left a ragged gash across the bandit's sword arm.

Brylla lowered her bow. After the initial volley of arrows, she couldn't shoot into the fray without risking accidentally hitting one of her allies. So she drew her own blade, a short sword that was chipped in various places. She had inherited the weapon after one of her bandit friends died from an infection to a nasty cut after their last raid, but her skills with it were rather lacking. So she moved cautiously toward the battle, heading for the last wagon in line, intending to unhitch the horses.

Linden glanced back over his shoulder towards Terrick and had the same thought, alone they would be taken out easy, but as a team at least they could have each others back. He swung his axe with an incredible amount of strenth at one of the bandits and pushed his way through a team of others. For a second he teetered on his toes, nearly tripping over a body that everyone else was stepping on. Whether it was a traveler or a bandit he didn't stop to look. When he finally caught his balance he found himself standing side by side with Terrick, and was dismayed at the trickle of blood sliding down his face. "Terrick!" He shouted, even though they were right next to each other the battlefield was rather loud. "You alright? Any brilliant ideas?"

"Never better!" Terrick said as he parried the next incoming attack. The bandit attacking him seemed hesitant, uncertain of himself in combat and the sellsword suspected the young man had never had any real training. That Rorik fellow had probably given him a weapon and just told him to stick the caravan guards with the pointy end. Terrick lunged forward, taking advantage of the younger man's uncertainly and drove his blade through the bandit's gut. "Nope, just stay alive."

The two horses hitched to the last wagon were fidgeting and dancing nervously as Brylla worked at their harnesses, unbuckling the straps as quickly as her cold, wet fingers could work. As soon as they were unbuckled, Brylla urged the horses forward until the shafts slipped free of the harness loops and the wagon started slipping slowly backwards down the muddy slope.

Linden grunted in pain as one of the bandits managed to duck past his swinging axe and land a heavy blow on his knees. He took a step back and accidently bumped into Terrick while sending a hard kick into the gut of the bandit who'd struck him. "Sorry, I think--- the wagon!" He interupted himself. "That bloody brat unhitched the horses!"

After several attempts Mavis finally managed to rid the horse of the heavy harness, with it gone he was able to sit much more comfortably on its back and have a go at stopping it. All he had to do was reach the lead rope which was flying wildly between the horses legs. Holding onto the horses mane with one hand to keep himself steady, he leaned slowly over the edge, trying to ignore the pounding sound of flying hooves and the lurching movement which kept threatening to throw him off, and made a desperate grab for the rope. With some remarkable bit of luck, the rope found his hands on the first try and by pulling it with all his might he was able to stop the horse and turn it back towards the battle. He had no idea what he'd do when he got there, but he couldn't just leave them to die.

(If You Had Not Noticed Her Avatar Is An Elf. I Assume it Would Be Pretty Easy As They Only Weigh 1/4 Of A Human Full Grown Male.)

(I Hope Mystical Creatures Are Allowed?)

The Arcane Wolf Stalked Along The Wagon Ruts, They We're Almost Three Days Old, But They Moved Slow On Account of Mud And Being Tired He Assumed. He Walked Slowly Over A Hill And Down It Again. There We're Boot Prints A Foot In The Mud, The Wolf's Paws We're Not Muddy Because He Did Not Weigh Down On It, And Then There Was A Man Sized Body Print In The Mud, He Continued Walking Slowly, His Blue Eyes Calculating And Cold, He Stretched His Wings And Then Ran Forward And Jumped, And Then As Many Times Before His Wings Heaved His Bulk Up And He Flew Faster Than Anyone Could Run, Except For Maybe And Elf. He Saw The Landscape Fly Beneath Him And Flew Into The Clouds, He Would Catch The Humans Soon, Before Nightfall.

(Flying Mystical Wolves Really Don't Fit With What's Been Established So Far In The RP. The Elf Could Work As Long As It's Not Too Overpowered.)

Terrick looked back toward the wagons, watching in dismay as the last wagon rolled backwards down the hill. It looked like the girl was still fighting with the nervous horses, probably intending on stealing those too, he figured. "******! Don't let her get the horses!" Terrick was already on the move, hoping to salvage something from this disaster.

Rorik, with help from two other bandits, had pushed back a caravan guards and a trader until they were backed up against one of the other wagons. He let out a "whoop" of excitement when he saw the wagon slipping backwards down the hill. He put two fingers in the corners of his mouth and let out a loud whistle. At the cue, the bandits starting a fighting retreat toward the loose wagon.

She Heard His Shout And Even Though She Knew Neither She Leaped From The Ledge And Hit The Ground In A Roll And Was Up And Running Without A Blink, She Ran Towards The Horses Being Much Faster Than Any Human Tackled The Girl She Assumed Was Attempting To Steal The Horses.
