Terrick nodded in welcome to the two women as he strapped a medium sized shield onto his left arm. "Luna, you said you've been in these caves since the bandits have taken over. Will we need a light to get Linden and Mavis out of this pit or do the brigands keep it lit enough already?"

Raven nodded to him then reached under her traveling cloak to pull out a pack. She rummaged through it until she pulled out a smaller bag. She replaced her pack then opened the small bag and handed each of them a rock. "These light-stones will only work for an hour, then they will have to be recharged. Just tap them once to turn them on, again to make them brighter, and twice to turn them off. As with anything else, making them brighter will use the energy up quicker."

Pike took the light-stone in his large hand and turned it over gingerly with his fingers, half expecting it to be hot and burn him. "How does it work?" His eyes and voice reflected a small amount of amazement at the strange rock as he flipped it over again. Out of curiosity he tapped it twice to test it out, and squinted at the bright light. "That's incredible!"

Raven reached over and tapped it twice to turn it back off. "Don't turn them on unless you need it." She said softly then turned to look out at the forest, a slight smile on her lips. "Graham would be glad to know they are being used to help others." She put the small bag away again and glanced to the group "Ready to go?"

Pike watched her carefully as she tapped the stone off, his eyes drawn irresistibly to her face. She was very beautiful, he noted for the first time. "Errr, um, thanks..." He stammered, suddenly looking away awkwardly. He slipped the rock into his pocket and cleared his throat, slinging the crossbow over his shoulder. "Yup, lets get moving before we run out of night."

Terrick took the offered rock, as amazed as Pike had been. The magic of the fair folk was truly awe-inspiring and beautiful. "Fair lady, lead the way..." he said as he tucked the light stone safely into the pouch at his belt.

Meanwhile, Merek and Col were taking their turn guarding the cave entrance. Col yawned, having trouble staying awake after only a few short hours of sleep. Merek gave the younger man an elbow in the ribs. "Don't go fallin' asleep on me. We've still got another hour 'fore Algar's supposed to take over."
