Before following them, Pike quickly padded down all of his pockets and weapons to make sure he wasn't forgetting anything. Finding his load satisfactory, he fell in step behind Terrick.

...

In the cavern, Mavis had fallen back into an uneasy sleep after he had eaten. His breathing sounded a little bit stronger, and some color had began to creep back into his face.

Linden was once again sitting on the hard floor beside his friend's cot, only this time he wasn't sleeping. The chain didn't allow him a lot of movement besides walking the length of the cot, so there wasn't really a lot to do besides sitting and waiting for something to happen. Despite the small amount of kindness the bandits had offered to Mavis, Linden wasn't sure how long it would last. There were only two possible outcomes for himself, he reckoned. Either Mavis died, and they would kill him when he refused to join them. Or Mavis lived, and they would attempt to recruit him and then kill Linden, possibly Mavis as well if he refused their offer. It wasn't very cheery, and all he could do was wait.

Raven led the way to the waterfall, then looked for the entrance, glancing to Luna for confirmation.

Amber blinked and looked around the camp, then settled back when she saw nothing to cause alarm.

Garret opened his eyes, thinking he had heard something moving through the trees. He shrugged it off as an animal passing and settled back against the tree, waiting for morning to continue his search for Amber.

Pike followed the rest of the group, his eyes and ears peeled for signs that their presence was being noticed. They reached the waterfall without him picking up anything out of the ordinary, but he kept the crossbow armed and in his hands ready to fire. "Is this the entrance?" He questioned Raven and Luna in a hushed voice.

Luna said nothing but walked forward and ran her hand over the smooth stone.

Terrick did his best to pick his way quietly through the woods, helped by the fact the ground was soft from the recent rains. As the sound of the waterfall grew louder, he frowned, trying to remember the map Luna had sketched on the ground. He hurried to catch up to the elven woman and gestured for the others to come close enough to hear his hushed voice.

"Are we trying the rear entrance then?" He asked, worried about the change in plan.

Pike leaned in behind Terrick, concerned for the same reasons. "Aren't we going in the front?" He questioned, frowning through the dark at Luna and Raven. "It's closer to the pit."

Raven turned and looked to Pike and Terrick "Turn around and look, That tree there is where we will meet if we have to use this tunnel. It is always best to know at least a little of where you will be if you have to use a different way to get out." She said and turned to go to the main entrance.

Pike gave her a slight nod of understanding. "Fair enough, lets get going though. We only have a couple hours until dawn, and by then I want to be far away from here."
