"Ain't often pretty," Merek acknowledged.  The effort of standing was wearing on him and he sighed, then lowered himself gingerly to the floor of the cell, taking care not to move his back more than he had to.  "And for what it's worth..." he added as he attempted to make himself comfortable on the floor, "...I'm sorry that so many had to die today.  Too often the way of it."

(There is a cot in there)
Raven watched him a moment then nodded "I can understand attacking the caravan for food and supplies, but why hurt the boy? Why leave the girl in the dark so longbthat she is nearly blind?"

Bree looked at him. "I was born in the human world, not in the Elven forest, my parents we're murdered by an Anti-Elvish Group, i was forced to live on the streets my entire life, salvaging scraps for myself. When i saw that Caravans we're hiring guards a few years back, i applied, and they accepted me, i learned all my fighting skills from the different Guards in the caravan." She said. "And i never left, but i never really talked with anyone i didnt know, which is probably why you never saw me." She said.

"Hmm..." Linden hummed absently as he rubbed his chin and forehead with water. "That could very well be. How did you know to come find us?" He found it curious that only one person, and a relatively seclusive person at that, would have known to look for them. Where were the others?

"I dunno what happened to the boy. Maybe he got hurt in the battle?" the bandit suggested. "As for the girl, Rorik took her as payment from the last group to travel through. She'd be sold soon as the slave trader makes his way through."

"He was not hurt in the battle, but after." Raven said and shook her head "I will not allow slave traders to occupy my forest."

(Potential for a future story line maybe? :) )

"Then you know more 'bout what happened to him than I do," the bandit replied, giving a slight shrug.

Inside the house, Terrick's eyes cracked open and he found himself laying on a cot. Nearby, he could hear voices, but even turning his head toward the speakers felt like too much effort. Ever so slowly, he lifted his hand as a small groan escaped his lips.

(Sure :) )
Raven looked to him then towards her house "The two females from your group hurt the boy. That was one of my reasons for joining with the caravan group instead of just letting you two kill each other off." She looked back to Merek "Hurting a child is wrong."

Merek looked away, thinking that he knew which two females the elf was referring to. But as those two were still very much alive and well, he had no wish to give the elf a reason to go hunting them, even though he suspected Tianea could best the elf if she had the advantage of home turf.

"Like I said, our business ain't often pretty."

Bree heard Terrick and rushed over by him.

Terrick's eyes focused slowly on the figure hovering above him. "Bree?" he said, voice hoarse and just barely audible. He didn't understand why the elf was here, but was pleased to see the familiar face. "We missed your blade today," he croaked out.
