Cardboard bedding ??

I've just come across a supplier of "cardboard bedding" at about half the cost of pine shavings. Doing a search here came up with 0 results, I'm wondering if anyone is using it or if there are any reasons not to use it.
I have no other info about what kind/size of cardboard it is but it is being sold as pet bedding soooo....?

I've used it with alpaca. Wasn't too find but it was ok. It was too big of pieces.
