Hi I thought I would talk about feed. I have in metal garbage cans that I put any open feed in, but I also have unopened bags under the sunporch of my coop. I keep traps for mice out at night, but sometimes they would nibble the bottom of the bag, the food would spill then get lost in the dirt below. I bought a bunch of food today then put the food in tubs so if it gets nibbled the food drops into the tub and can still get eaten. If I lived near a feed store I would just put it all in the metal garbage can, but I have to store my food in just the bags some times. Also I like to feed my hens in an old dresser drawer or a big plastic tub. Hens like to kick their food about, this way they can with out loosing it.

x2! Metal garbage cans, up on pavers or something, so they aren't damp on the bottom. Feed stored in the cans, in the original feed bags, so if there's a problem, it's identifiable and can be returned.
NEVER out there for the rodents!!!
Also always check the mill date on each bag, and plan to use it up within two months of the mill date.

All my bag feed is in 55 gallon drums with a removable lid. We don't even take it out of the bag. Just leave the unopened bags on the bottom and have and open bag on top.

I store my feed in a big trash bin inside the coop. I only buy three or so bags at a time. If I can’t fit it all in the bin I’ll just put the bag on top on the lid.
I never have rodent problems, but my situation is different then most.
