I have a chicken with scissor beak, I didnt notice this as a chick as he was incubated and hatch in an incubator. I am wondering if anyone can give me some advice on how to care for the beak. I feel like it needs to be trimmed but I have no idea what I am doing. Is it like clipping animals claws where there is a blood line? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone have any tips and tricks to trimming? We have affectionately nicknamed him beaky, and he seems to be coping just fine out in his coop with the rest of the flock but I am worried about his beak!
