Carnation comb genetics (Penedesenca crosses)

Hi
Anyone have any ideas on the genetics behind carnation combs? Is it just a single comb with modifiers or something else? I'm in a quest to make dark egg layers without single combs. They likely will have rosecombs due to it's easy dominant trait.
So if I have a Penedesenca rooster and cross him on rose combed Wyandotte Marans crosses I'll get what?
