Update,, no prints and all chicks are secured and doing good. ive been hooking on additional bars to the front of the cage so that nothing can open the door

Thank you so much guys. I might start to bring my chickens inside during the night and early afternoon, to protect them and it's been getting very hot during the day (I gave them a big wading pool and bring out frozen treats every day but they are still showing a lot of heat stress)That does sound more like a rat or a raccoon than a cat to me as well. With so little to go on though there is no telling. I would if possible bring them inside at night but the hardware cloth should solve that issue anyways. Regardless I wish you luck with the rest of your chicks!
