Cat Chat!

aww
Okay, here are pics from the rescue!
big_smile.png

Beautiful Oliver, who was rescued from the streets.

Super friendly, Doyle. The lucky guy was adopted right after Luna was!

Curious and friendly, Tootsie.

Longtime resident, Colston.
smile.png
Sadly, he pukes a lot and no one knows why, so that's why he hasn't been adopted yet.

Shy but gentle, Golden Girl.

A new resident, not sure on his name.

Another new resident, Blackie. Sorry for the bad picture.

There's also Patches, Luna (not the kitten, another one), Bambi, Pistachio, and one other that I know I'm forgetting.
hmm.png
Patches is a calico colored senior kitty. Luna is also calico colored and was rescued after either being hit by a car or beaten. Bambi is a pretty orange tabby kitty who is bonded with Golden Girl. Pistachio is a friendly little black and white guy who spends his time sleeping under the blankets.

I like Oliver and Doyle

Yeah, there were 2 others, Runner and Aflac, They both disappeared
Thanks! I think she is supposed to be a silver tabby?? Not sure, she is the family cat :)
Beast has lots of nicknames, kitten, otter, (we call her that when she rolls around on the ground) and some other names :)

Oh dear! You're welcome! That might be right, I don't know anything about cats, but she looks like she fits that description pretty well. :) Haha, our animals have a lot of nicknames! Some of them our kinda weird and only my family gets them, but they work! ;)
aww
I like Oliver and Doyle :)

They're both very friendly! Doyle was my favorite and I'm very glad he got adopted! Pistachio's really cute too if you can get him out from under the blankets! :)

Yeah, i though silver tabby cats had more black/gray markings, but i i don't know anything about cats either :p Yeah we have a lot of inside joke nicknames.
Nice!

What ADORABLE kitties, you guys!
love.gif
I love them all!

Here are mine:

Maverick, one of my two current indoor cats, is such a gentle, sweet giant! He's weighed as much as 16 lbs. before we put him on a diet.
lol.png
He and his brother were starving strays that showed up at my grandpa's in December of 2010. I already had a beautiful kitty of my own then, and had no room for more, so both were taken to a shelter. Sadly, my beloved Mousie died at the young age of 2 a month later, leaving a void.
hit.gif
We contacted the shelter to see if our buddies had been adopted yet, and while the other brother was snatched up not too long after he arrived at the shelter, Maverick remained and fell deathly ill. An IV kept him alive at his very worst. We couldn't just leave him to be euthanized, so, long story short, he's here with us today!
smile.png
Poor thing has suffered from violent, frequent seizures for nearly a couple years, but I'm happy to report that he hasn't had one in 4 months!
big_smile.png

Kind of an odd picture of him, but this is Phoenix, my beautiful Thai Siamese. Not only are his eyes crossed, but he's a sufferer of those characteristic Siamese mouth problems, like ulcerations and infections. He got senselessly dumped into the ditch across from my grandma's house as a tiny, lone kitten during the cold months in 2013. Poor little guy was suffering from a decently large abscess, and I almost wonder if the previous owner wasn't interested in paying vet bills.
sad.png
Anyway, he's SOOOOOOOO energetic, chatty, and hilarious! A favorite hobby of his is to snatch clothing items and drag them around the house.
lol.png

I've also got two lovely little kittens that we acquired soon after Christmas!
love.gif
The fluffy white and gray girl, Mika, is such a little diva.
lol.png
We don't currently have a name picked out for the tabby and white....
hmm.png
She sure is a cutie.
wink.png
It's been a little difficult taming them down, since the former owner didn't really socialize them, but they're coming around slowly.

Maverick is so handsome! And his eyes are so pretty, I've always loved the cats that had the light green/aqua colored eyes! :love Lol, our Beagle is on a diet too. It's so hard not to feed her table scraps. He sounds like a fighter and that he was meant to live with you guys! :) Phoenix is a such a pretty name and it fits him too! Awe, that's so sad, but at least he's in much better care now. In February last year a black and white cat just randomly showed up at our house and would sit outside the door meowing. We figured that she was just another cat from the neighbors house because there's tons over at her house. She was very friendly so we named her Russell Marshawn Sherman (after my love for the Seattle Seahawks, lol). We set up a cat carrier outside our door with blankets and some food and water. She slept in there for about two days, but because she was so friendly (literally the best cat I have ever met!) my mom let her in the house. Russell (we called her this for short) already knew how to use the litter and open doors, and she would just lay in the sun, purring and watch you all day long. After an examination my mom did (she used to be a registered vet tech and now she's going to probably get a job working as a vet assistant) we found that Russell had an abscess on her back leg and a small bite wound on her shoulder. We brought her into the vet to get spayed, tested for FiV and FeLV, and get her bite and abscess checked out. She came back negative for FiV and FeLV and they also gave us stuff to treat the bite and abscess. What was weird was that Russell was already spayed. So we thought that she had to have been in someone's house before (because the lady next door never spays or neuters) and they had either dropped her off at the neighbors house when they saw cats or she ran away. We looked all over for people missing a black and white cat but we couldn't find anything. Sadly, at the time we couldn't keep cats in our house (if we could we would've kept her) so we sent her to my grandma's friend's (Lisa's) cat rescue where Russell found a home very quick! :) I will try to find a pic of Russel and post it! Lol, Luna used to drag our socks and shirts through the house, but she also liked to sleep in our dirty clothes. They're adorable! Hopefully they'll come around soon! I'm sure if you just spend a lot of time with them they will become more social. I'm pretty bad at giving animals names, but what about Mabel, Mocha, Molly, or Muffin? Then you have two "M names". Or you could do like Cheyenne because I think it's a really pretty name. :lau
