Cat Eye boogers!

I noticed several posts concerning cats that have black boogers from their eyes. I took my Buffy to the vet because it reoccurs on a daily basis. I clean them away (which) Buffy doesn't like. The vet have me a topical ointment called Bausch & Lomb Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfate, Bacitracin Zinc and Hydrocortisone Ophthalmic Ointment USP. I found it on Chewy.com you have to have a prescription but maybe to save a vet visit its a good choice.

It is illegal for a veterinarian to write a prescription for a problem they haven’t seen. Same as physicians,

I'm aware of that. My post just said you can get the ointment only with a prescription at chewy.com.

Just curious why you would take your cat to the veterinarian and get prescription for Chewy when you could get the medication right then and there.
