I use it for treats and extra protein it's especially good during molt to help with feather growth. I found out by accident how much my birds love it when my Muscovy drake comes inside to visit. If I was feeding the dogs I would have to give him his own bowl so he wouldn't eat out of the dogs bowl. Then I started giving it to his girls and all the others had to try it. They all get about a cup full to split between them so with 39 birds it isn't much although not all come around to eat it either.

Got it! My lil ladies are going through their first molt right now so maybe I’ll toss a few kitty kibbles in their bowl.

I fed Orijen Six Fish cat food over the winter as a treat. They liked it and it did help. I just believe in sticking to fish-based foods if you do it. Seemed more natural for a duck to me. You could also try dried mealworms to increase protein, but they aren't much cheaper.

Milworms are pretty cheep for me here like £1:50-£2:00 a bag

Boy that is great @khurbanx I buy in bulk off Amazon and it ain't cheap. They get them too daily.
