Cat having weird spasms???

Yup, for sure the cat needs to be SEEN BY a vet, maybe a different one. It's not something that can be resolved through a phone call, though, by *any* vet.

I'd vote for seizures as my first guess too, although there are other possibilities as well. Especially in a cat who's only one, you want to sort this out now before it becomes any more problematic than it already is.

Good luck,

Pat

that is so wierd you need to find a better Vet that will actualy pay atention to your concerns

Sounds like something is bothering him more so than seizures. In any event, he should be examined by a vet, stool sample checked and they can recommend a flea treatment for him. But he's obviously in discomfort so please have him checked.

Hope you find out what is happening to him. Usually there is a quiet time after a seizure, as usually one is very tired after this...be it human or animal.

I am Not "OK" with it, I try to keep his fleas gone but we live in the middle of nowhere with 4 dogs. so out here if you think your gonna keep every single flea off you might as well hope to win the lottery to, and he has all his shots and medications for worms, Ive checked and havnt seen any.

Is he licking his nether regions? Maybe he has a UTI?

Ok, I talked to my neighbor today.. and I saw one of her cats doing the exact same thing. she said two of em has been doing it for awhile and started around the same time mine did.... Seizures??? it couldnt really be that coincidental that 3 cats started this around the same time?? and it couldnt be anything that he might have caught could it? her cats are a good 2 acres away and none of her cats come down here and none of mine go down there. My cat inside hasnt even been outside since long before it started. so it couldnt be anything catchy could it?? Diseases? sickness?

No he hasnt been licking, when it happens he licks back there but not THERE, like, on top of his back close to his tail,

My cats lick and scratch their backs near their tail also. It seems to be the spot that is the hardest for them to clean their fur, and get rid of the fleas. It also seems like that area is drier (dandruff), probably from not being able to clean it as well. I've never seen anything I would call a seizure. Maybe a little yelping and biting at that area. I find that using a flea comb helps get out the loose hair, and fleas. And the Advantage/Revolution helps with the dry skin. Good luck and I hope it gets better.

Imp- Some of my cats are a little heavy, that makes it harder for them to reach that area.
