Hey everyone. We are trying to make the ducklings brooder cleaner while they are in the house. DH asked if cat litter would work under the water /food area? Anyone have experience with this?

I would be concerned that they would ingest some. Not sure what it would do clumping in the GI tract.

Not only trying to eat it but the dust, some use the pelleted horse bedding with success. place the bedding inside a pan then place the water container on top of the bedding, that way it's keeping it a little more contained.

I thought the exact same thing about the duckies eating the little, but wanted to ask those more experienced. Thank you everyone. I have read many, many threads on ducks and watered. Getting creative to reduce the mess and stink
