I'm sure he/she has had duck in the last few days- but you are right it was probably a family meal!

I quess I jinxed myself- as a couple weeks ago I though I was doing good, no predator problems for a month.

Then I chase a raccoon up a tree one night last week when I went to pick peacock eggs. Have gotten 12 coons & 1 pussum since.

Welcome to the owl club, but also welcome to the dirty truck club. I thought I was the only one! When I drive to town, everyone has shiny clean cars and mine is, well, not. Can't wash it often enough to keep up with them! Guess that's country living at it's best!

I put the dead ducks in the live trap- and put 2 live ducks (thought it would be to cruel to put one by itself) in a cage next to the live trap.

This is not the first time I have caught owls in live traps.

I did the same thing. I put my dead chickens in the trap and placed it at the scene of the crime and the criminal came back. When I went outside to see if I had it trapped, it was at the door of the trap and I scared it off. It was an OWL !!!!

WOW! Those owls sure look MEAN and kill about as viciously as a racoon. Glad I haven't had to deal with one of them yet! And what nerve to do the ghastly deed right on top of your truck. YIKES!

Well, glad you caught it and hope the rest of it's family isn't around.

These owl also do alot of good, they will take coons, foxes, stray cats, skunks, and rats.

Mine was released, because I dont free range and if out its during the day. All my pens have cover tops.

Yes these owls are mean, DONT want to go near their nest, big trouble then.
