chasing them only makes them afraid of me and treats now r more scary because I was grabbing them.I havent tried the net yet but I am thinking going out in the yard isn't worth the effort to me or them. What do you think?

dont ever grab tail feathers! especially if you have long tail feathered species because pulling them out can cause bleeding which if bad enough can kill your poor chicken! grabbing for the legs is however acceptable....just try not to do any damage when doing so and quickly hold the wings down so they know they arent going anywhere!

LOL! I put my Silver Laced Wyndottes under a bush in the cage. Somehow they got out and we couldn't catch them, so we wrapped the whole bush in plastic! Next time its glue traps and I'll chase them towards it.

Think "goose girl" ! I use a lunge whip, for horses, and its like herding sheep they go in any direction you want just fine.A practice run or two and I can herd 12 bantys across the pasture. Just use slow motion and away you'll go
