Can chickens eat caterpillers?, my veg patch has been taken over and invaded by the caterpillers, i was going to cut the leaves off and feed them to my girls, is it safe?????

i was wondering the same thing/ my girls were out yesterday and i saw a huge itchy caterpillar so i shooed it off out of sight. i was wondering the same thing???????????

Yes, they seem to know which ones they can eat and which to leave alone. My chickens won't touch tent caterpillars or luber grasshopers but anything else is fair game that I have noticed...Even if they don't eat the caterpillars I bet they gobble up the leaves
