Catfood as a supplement?

Should be fine. Just remember that it should be a once in a while treat, not an every day one.
 
How about poking it really well with a fork when you open the can, before you offer it to Sunny? That would help you find little bones if there are any. I would give her a bite or two, then wait several days and make sure it doesn't upset her system. That is what I do with my cats' food sometimes

BTW, I saw the video. It was one of the bright spots of my day - thanks! I am very encouraged. I have 10 runners on order from Meyer, due on 3-24-10.

Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks says some high quality dry cat kibble is a good addition to their diet, in small amounts, during breeding season and cold spells, no more than 10 to 15 percent of their rations.
