cats scared of chickens and chickens killed kitten! what should i do????

Unless you have gigantic cats or bantam chickens, or both, surely it would be possible to make a small rectangular space with some wood and wire with a low opening that the cats could easily slink under, but the chickens could not? Considering how bendy cats are.

it might work if i can find some lumber.hmmmm.:idunno

Designated feeding times and places for both cats and chickens might help instead of leaving food out all the time for them to fight over. Also make sure they are fed in separate places.

Can the chickens get fed in their coop/barn and you shut the door behind them for a bit and then feed the cats outside while the chickens eat inside, or vice versa?

my problem is moma cat and kittens go first then our two male cats come about thirty minutes later and the chickens waterer is outside and feeder inside the coop.:(

As you can see by the many comments the best and perhaps only solution is to keep the chickens and cats separate somehow, at least during feeding time.

Animals can adjust to scheduled feedings instead of free feeding and you will no longer also be feeding rodents and wild birds.

If you want advice on how to build/modify either your chicken area or cat area, feel free to post some photos and perhaps we can give you some input.
