Cats??

Has anyone ever had their or other household cats attack chickens?? When I had my chicks and ducklings in the house, my cats paid no attention to them. Now that they are outside, my cats have definitely noticed them. My poultry free ranges and anytime my cats look interested I give them a nice spray of the hose, but I am nervous for the time I am not there with the hose. I would hate to have them injured or worse...

I doubt that a cat would attack a full grown standard chicken. Nevertheless, the hose training is probably helpful.

Never an issue with my cats and the chickens. A stray cat hungry enough might be supid enough to make a move on a chicken,but it is unlikely they would kill one.
