I have a blue Russian female. I got her from the humane society for my birthday when she was a kitten. She just turned a year old and I love her to bits. She is a great cat. She loves to held and pet, and she sleeps at my pillow every night.

I also foster kittens for the same humane society I got her from

She's beautiful. : )

How awesome that you foster! I do to! I've got seven foster cats right now, three kittens from one litter and three from another with their mother, Lyla.

Right now I have to admit to having a favorite. It's sweet little 5 week old Nocturne. Nocturne lives in my room with his mother (Lyla) and two siblings, Twilight and Oz. However, he is unique among them. There is just something different about him, the way his eyes bug out of his head like he is always shocked, how he can hear every little sound with those huge ears, how he falls all the time, screams at night for cuddles and food, loves tummy tickles while sitting on your shoulder or the crook of your arm, comes when called.
I helped Lyla give birth to her kittens, I held them the minute they were born and helped clean and dry them. They were premature, tiny little things, about half the size of your average newborn. Two of them didn't make it, but three did, including Nocturne. : )
Their first few weeks they remained behind in weight. At a week of age they weighed the same as a newborn. But they were fighters. And with Lyla's gentle care and my bathing them when they got dirty (they did that a lot) they made it past that critical age.

Here is Nocturne getting a tummy tickle. his eyes are always that wide by the way. : )

Nocturne snuggled in the crook of my arm, sleeping. He has trouble closing his eyes to sleep because they are so big. He will sleep with them partly opened sometimes.

Nocturne playing with Oz. Twilight explores in the back-round. his siblings are lighter then him, with dark points and a roan/grey body that they had from birth. All three have a white spot on their belly and one on their chest, just like their mother (she is black).

At this very moment Nocturne is snuggled up with me, watching the world, listening to the click of the keys as I type, licking his paws, playing with my sleeve, and just being all around cute and innocent. We'll see what happens when he hits his "terrible tot" years of 6-16 weeks of age, but for now he is just a real sweet-heart.

We're expecting kittens any day now! The vet says we have four due, and all seemed well at the last checkup. I can't wait! Mama kitty Peregrine is so sweet, we're hoping that her disposition carries on to her babies.
