Cattle Panel Question

That is an extremely well done pond. You might call it a small pond but that undervalues the thoroughness of the set up. Impressive work. The upper pit was especially cool, I wouldn't have taken that concrete job on.

The spot I have in mind for a duck pond can have heavy cover over the filter tanks by my thousand hostas.

I'd thought to elevate the pond itself a few inches at least to try to contain the mess ducks make. Maybe even a foot. Could make it easier to get those tanks situated too I guess.

Much to consider. Once the sunroom is done. And the duck house built. And all that run put up. Late summer maybe.

It's a mini compared to most of the ponds on that forum.
I was fascinated with the filtration systems, I could not do a larger pond so I made a miniature filter, it worked great. Pondsai now 'stagnant' (unfiltered) for 6 years which has it's own fascinations, filtration system was removed each winter and stored, and one year it just stayed there.

The concrete bases and walls were kind of an extension of the concrete leaves and spheres I was doing back then, they really helped level the filter vessels...leveling is critical in a gravity fed filter system.

We had good sized ponds, my mom's second one was I think 1200 gallons. Filters were not impressive (commercial bio filter box) and she always battled water quality. I used a gravel filled settling chamber before a small waterfall upper pond for my 700 gallon and had decent results, much better.

Gotta order stuff for the end wall. I was ready to tear some stockade apart but this would be faster and I might as well make the coop match. I decided to take the clear panels off, build frames, and use those on the south wall. They will let the sun in and be light enough to just remove the whole frames and pop them in the loft till fall. The windows I'm reglazing will then go all along the long wall of the original coop. So all I'll need to buy is 3-4 sheets of siding. Not bad.

Like 4x8' sheets?
Not quite following and might not matter, as I'm slow and you're there.
Have fun and best of luck, weather break there?
Gorgeous here, warm(~70) and sunny.
Yup 4 x 8 sheets of siding for the front hoop wall(needs a better name), plus the bottom half of the original coop walls.

Weather break? No. I mean it's not 20 today anyway. 47 with wind and rain doesn't feel that pleasant. Enjoy your beautiful day, hope it'll head this way. Snow in my forecast though. :(
