Cattle Panel Question

That's not a bad idea...pricey tho, and the sharp edges might wear poorly on tarped surfaces.[/QUOTE]

Don't know what they cost, he already had them. the sharp parts are on the inside.

@erlibrd , I'm not sure if that is a chicken run or a greenhouse but I sure do like it. Could you please elaborate on how it is constructed.

Thank you, I use it as a greenhouse. As a coop it would need shade cloth. DH built it, the perimeter is two rows of 2x10's. The cattle panels 4 of them were attached to the wood then curved and brought up and attached to the other side. I really can't say how he did the front and back ends. Sorry I don't know. :idunno

It sure can!!
Especially wet snow, especially when preceded by freezing rain.

BTDT.....also didn't bend far enough to kink so sprang back nicely.
Was able to crouch down, wade thru 18" of snow, and get it all knocked off from inside the run...NOT fun.
That's when I started shoveling a path all the way down the run and knock snow off regularly during heavy events....and install the prop sticks I told you about ;)

My 'to do' list would have read more like:
"And that's when I packed my shit and headed south!"
Snow is great! ... to visit... working in it? not so much...

Powers back on so that's nice.
Still no power! Hose clamps, might be useful for areas of extra stress. If I figure out where those might be.
Hmmm....must have gone out again?

Thye can be $0.50-1.00 a peice and even the band can be sharp.

Heat is great......but.... ;)

@Rick&chickTampa and @Counting chickens The chickens force me to do that little bit extra, helps beat the winter blues/ cabin fever/ vitamin d deficiency that everyone here gets. So there's that. But I agree, desperately want to move south.

@aart I spoke way too soon. I had time to run the furnace, clean the satellite dish, then bam gone again. No predicted restore time yet. I have a propane fireplace so heat is ok. In half the house but that's good enough.

I'm super aggravated with the weather. I have a cockerel living in the brooder which I'll need soon. About ready to go shovel 30 inches of snow, dig post holes and build the darn thing now. Could blue tarp till better weather. Hmm.
